Toraja Stone Grave

Toraja is a tourist spot scattered in every place. The natural beauty of Toraja is unquestionable, starting from its green valleys, beautifully arranged rice fields, and also has a beautiful river when viewed from afar. In Toraja also has a towering mountain and when it is above it is like being on a cloud.

One of the most unique tours is the cemetery tour. Graves are generally located on rocks. The bodies were placed in carved stone graves. There is also a baby grave in a wooden tree, where the tree is carved and then the coffin containing the corpse is placed there.

1. Tampang Alo

Tampang Alo is a grave located in a cave. In the cave there are ancient chests and there is also a statue of a local aristocrat. Nobles are honorable descendants of ancient times, namely the king and his descendants. Besides, around the cave there is a baby grave that is inserted into a tree that is still alive. 

2. Lemo's Grave

Lemo grave is a burial place that is on a carved stone. The grave is the ancient burial place of tribal chiefs in the past.

On the outside of the cemetery there are statues that are symbols of the people buried in that place. If friends want to visit the place, please come in the morning, so that it is clearly visible because the morning sun directly hits the stone graveyard. While in the afternoon the grave behind the sun. Because the stone grave is also covered by lush trees.
